Pullmax owners
Do any of you metalheads have a Pullmax which is a metalworking machine which in its most current design will shear metal, form domes, shrink metal, forms louvres and much more?
I have one and its model designation is "medium" which in the opinion of Fay Butler, an American authority on sheetmetal forming thinks it may only do metal shearing as he is not familiar with the "medium" description - I am hoping some of you may be familiar with this model and can advise me of its capabilities - have a look on youtube to see what these machines are capable of.
Stay safe

Hi Alf, I don't own a Pullmax, as much as I'd like one, I don't have a use for one YET.
I can't see why your machine can't be fitted with the different tools available for it?
There are plans available to make one, so it should be easy enough to make the tooling.
Any chance of a pic of the business end of it, PLEASE?

There’s a plate on them saying which model they are.
I have the original manuals and sales info on most of these.
I had an ancient smallest model but moved it on a few years back as it only had the single stage depth adjustment. I did make tooling for a floor but it was slow and painfull to use.
I have access to a larger one currently with the two stage adjustment.
We did the second half of the floor with a powered bead roller.
I also had an Eckold craftformer that went also as I wasn’t using it and still have access to it and the full-size eckold with Shrinker and stretching capacity of a few mm in steel.
Theres a new minimax out but I’m not sure the frame is rigid enough.
Guys I know collared the remnants of the importers tooling stock for both pullmax and
eckold.

Found the smaller booklet,it doesn’t have the full range of machines from memory.
I will have a look for the A4 one over the weekend.
i don’t have a working scanner currently but here’s a few pics taken on my iPad.

Pullmax medium plus other cool gear.
I was out at the boys today where I’m making a cyclone for my shed and took a few pics of my old Pullmax which is a Medium and their 5 trimmer plus their Eckold.
Id used mine on thin .8mm body metal for a floor pan on a Mazda T600 I’m doing.
I found it slow as I had to adjust the tooling mid way to get the full depth on the floor.
The bigger Pullmax has a two or three stage depth adjustment.
The Eckold craftformers are sweet little machines for shrinking and stretching carpanels.
The big Eckold can do some serious forming on thicker material.
They also have a hand powered Eckold with the beak tooling also plastic for Al.

The photos always decide where they want to go.
Anyho the big Pullmax is on the left the Medium are the photos on the right.

Pullmax
Thanks Henry,
I understand the large counterweighted lever is cut engagement but what is the purpose of the small lever on the left with the knob on it?
mine has 2 positions marked "k" and "l" with detents between them also there is a screwed plug around that position - what is its purpose?
I believe our machines are identical but tooling detail is unclear
Cheers Alf
