What sort of vice is this?
Hi All,
I have just joined today and have introduced myself in the Welcome Wagon.
Could anyone please tell me what this type of vice is called. I googled and found the logo,
so I know it was manufactured by Bison-Bial in Poland.
Thank you Marion
Ps Not 100% sure how to add photos to this. I think they're attached but if not could someone please let me know. Thanks

Welcome aboard.
Looks like a two axis machine vice. There are a few listed on eBay (different brands).

Hare and Forbes, a local machinery merchant, calls them a Tilting and Swivel Machine Vice.

Vices are sized by the width of the jaws. The one in the illustration is a 152mm (i.e. 6 inch) vise. It's difficult to guess the size of yours from the photo - my guess is that it might be smaller than the catalogue illustration, maybe 100mm or 125mm.
Bison is a well regarded make, probably better than the one illustrated, which was likely made in China. I have no idea what the value of a second hand one would be - maybe someone who has bought or sold one recently might give an idea of what is a fair price.
Frank.
