Well Fellows me thinks we're all on the same page here

I've never liked buying cheap things from China because I know the end result, and I don't like encouraging a government that cares little about its own people (or their lives), so I've decided to encourage others (amongst family and friends) to now do the same.

In regards to skills in Australia anyway, we've got an uphill battle ahead but I pray now people will wakeup and that there will be a shift in direction. I hope to be a part of the solution!

help manufacturing in Australia, yer man hit the nail on the head he had the option of Australian made shoes but did not want to pay the money, and cheap moulds and dies from China, thats how capitalism works, market forces, given half a chance America would flood us with as well

We as a society what cheap stuff, do i have an answer nope but its not a simple fix but going to "Australian Made" will mean get used to paying much more for what you get

    Hello Twopints.
I have found other sources for cheap tig gear in Taiwan and Korea. So those that are stuck on Cheap Stuff are still happy. However the majority of my customers have replied they are prepared to buy better quality when I have it available. We do need to find work for those of us without trade skills or education of value. Farm or factory work is the easiest to regain. The brick wall is the big retailers. They need pressure from all of us.
    regards
    BC.
