Nice finish Lex.
Can you tell me a bit more about the stone, its dimensions and where you acquired it?
I have a Dumore 44 TPG and struggle to achieve a reasonable finish on ODs. I am yet to tackle an internal bore and if I do it will probably be tackled using the tool and cutter grinder's internal spindle which only accommodates 1/4" bored stones. The 44 uses 3/8" bored wheels. Wheels and stones in both sizes are not easy to find over here. The pickings may be less slim in your neck of the woods.

Hi Bob,
The grey wheel on the left in the photo is the one that I used first, it was with the TPG when I got it and was the only one that would fit in the tapered bore but because it was a very hard wheel it Glazed very quickly on the hardened material of the spindle. I went around to a friends place yesterday and went through a box of small wheels that he had and picked out the other two wheels, the middle one is what I used for the job which I think would have started out as the same size as the one on the right.
The larger white wheel is 1" diameter by 3/4" long, the worn/dressed down wheel is 3/4" x 5/8" and the grey wheel is 7/8" x 1", they all have a 1/4" hole and a 1/2" counterbore. This type of wheel used to be relatively easy to get hold of but these days it's a different story. Abrasiflex do list some wheels that would fit your machine but I cannot work out their abrasive identification system so I'm not sure what sort of results they would produce on various hardness materials.

Hello Lex,
Back in 2011 I purchased an internal wheel from Abrasiflex. It was the smallest they stocked over here measuring 13 x 13 with a 4mm bore and a 6 x 6 counterbore. I didn't have the Hercus No.1 T & C at the time so the purchase may have been for some whimsical fitting for the Dumore. The whhels's part number is GW2005 and the grade, WA60KV. It cost $4.40 back then. It would not fit the Hercus internal spindle without modification to the 1/4" spindle nose, something I wasn't prepared to do.
Subsequently I did find some 1/4" bored wheels on US eBay that measure slightly over 5/8" Dia and 1/2" H . They are grey and have what looks like a fine grit. I did have to make a longer LH threaded screw to fit the wheels but otherwise I have yet to use them.

To allow dressing of both the Internal and External grinding wheels I had to make a stand to mount the diamond.

A new Back Plate for an old chuck.
I had an old soft jaw chuck (6") with no way of mounting it to my lathe but I did have a spare D1-4 back plate (8") that I decided to turn down to suit this chuck. After roughing out the excess material and a quick touch up with the TPG it can now be used, after drilling and counterboring 3 holes for SHCS.
