    BaronJ,

According to https://www.gracesguide.co.uk/Qualcast the company dates back to 1801 - from Derby, UK. Quite some history there. In Oz we see both British and Australian made models. This particular example being made in Melbourne. A brother of mine has a British made one. They are both 'H' models and look pretty much identical. Some peering about on the interwebs shows it may be from the 1930s.

The 'H' model is for longer grass I believe - a little heavier and with larger wheels.

I found this old lady some household 'hard rubbish' (as we say here - meaning 'leave it out front on street and organise for it to be collected by council ... for the garbage tip). I got it about two years ago and have been meaning to do it up. We did not have a lawn then, but now we've moved into a house and actually have some grass to mow!

So, all going well - it'll be pressed back into action. Some things to fix though ....

    Greg.

I reckon you just get the balls with the same diameter or close to that then reuse the cage and that will work.

There was a NOS one (not sure of the brand) minus all the wooden bits at the Mill Market in Geelong when I was there late last year - just in case you are missing anything and need to see what it should be.

Jackaroo, I reckon that'll do it. Certainly, I'm giving that a go when the time comes.

Ray-s. How cool. This old girls has all the parts, but I will have to fashion a new 'blade' underneath. Material and sourcing for that might be yet another thread!
