Low Profile Chuck
Been searching for a low profile three jaw chuck around 100mm, with a largish through hole for my bench drill. Not having much luck yet. Any tips on where to look for these?

Hi Nev,
I think many of us are having a problem with what you mean by a low profile chuck.
I know I am.
Is it 100mm long or 100mm in diameter? What drill diameter capacity do you want it to have?

80 or 100mm diameter lathe Chuck. By low profile I mean no more than 50mm height. Want to mount to drill table to centre round bar for drilling and tapping.

I bought this 30 years ago and never used it. Slightly larger than you mentioned: 50 mm high x 150 mm dia. Jaws are reversible and individually adjustable.

Nev, what diameter bar are you wanting to put in the chuck?? Asking as this will determine the diameter of the chuck.

Found this in evilpay, is this the sort of thing you're after???

Got myself a good used four jaw with a height of 45mm and a 25mm bore. Still looking for a three jaw.
