Machining to New Tolerances
Had this emailed to me and thought it might be a new benchmark for members on here to strive for.
Being cheeky with the comment, but interesting nonetheless;

I could have hit the "likes" but in truth I really liked that and even my wife appreciated the tollerance levels required to do that and there's not a button for that!
Thanks!

Glad you liked it Simon. It was a toss up between here and the CNC section,decided here as it would probably get more views.

Impressive
Very impressive.
But I wonder what the price of the machine is? Not a hobby machine at all!

Definitely not a hobby machine, nor would it take well to being plonked down on your average shed floor in an uncontrolled environment.

I wonder how much of the disappearing join is simply due to the very low resolution of the footage...
That's not to say it's not still impressive, just a reminder that appearances can be deceiving

Vacuum
Whether the joint lines are visible or not is one thing, but the vacuum seal on the inserted plug has no dependence on camera resolution.
Cheers
