Name this welding clamp?
Some years ago, we found a clamp that we decided to copy.
We made ten copies from it with my friend.
Its great for lining pipes & axles for welding.
It centers them automaticly, even if the diameter varies.
Do you know a name for it, or brand for the original one?
It was made from cast steel. ( One on the pictures is watercut and machined from plate)

I have been planning to make more of them.. i have only this one left.
Its not a big deal, but it would be nice to know what is it called.

I googled 'pipe alignment clamp'
Found a lot of similar ones, amongst it was this, looks identical to yours
https://www.directindustry.com/prod/...7-2229739.html
and this
https://tremcopipeline.com.au/constr...ignment-clamp/
The second link mentions them being made my Sawyer (USA)
Keep in mind by copying it you may be encroaching on a registered or patented design
Good luck with it

Sorry i can't help you with a name for the Clamps, but I and I'm sure others on here, wouldn't mind a set of drawings for them, PLEASE, as they look like a very handy piece of kit.
Thanks,

Thank you very much!
I tried to Google with Finnish terms, and didn't find any.
Luckily, in Finland. One is allowed to make a copy for personal use, even that the design is patented.
You are allowed to make ones for your friends too, if you don't take money from it.
Also you are allowed to sell it, if you can show that you have used it, and doesn't need it anymore.
Here patens or model protection doesn't apply in personal use.

Looks like a Kant twist clamp, 2 of, fixtured together.
I've never used them, but the design is similar.

I have a different type of tool that is also evidently for aligning cylinders, pipes etc. It was from technical college.
It is a single piece of cast iron, with a V shape along its top edge, flat on the bottom, and with flanges next to the V for using clamps.
Actually the V is in two sections, because there is a gap in the centre so welding can be done there.
I see you have a Rode microphone on your camera, made here in Sydney Australia.
