Anyone bought from Mag-pro (M & G Productions) recently?
I ordered a collet chuck from Felix a couple of weeks ago, and it hasn't arrived, and I didn't get sent a tracking # so I tried to email him on both the email addresses and got this: (for both email addresses)

It might be worth trying another email address.
A friend did have some recent email from them.

I bought a mag back indicator from them. The mag back holes were about 1.5mm off centre to the outside so the indicator couldn't be mounted to it. When I reported this to them, he told me to drill the back out myself - except that, as I told him, the hole centres would be outside the material (ie impossible). I bought via E-Bay, so I gave him negative feedback so he called my home to harass me about the negative feedback. Third buy from them, third bad product (and he always blames his "Sydney Distributor"), then I get abused for it. If he's gone out of business (about which I have absolutely no idea), then good riddance.

On 6 /2/20 I received an email from Felix after chasing QCTP blocks. He was in China and stated he may be there for some time due to the current Corana virus problem.
A week or two back I got a email from M & G informing me they had a new warehouse. Sorry I did not keep it as I am in the habit of deleting non important email spam.
I did an Google search on the original Warehouse address. It is not a warehouse but appeared to be a suburban house, that is if I did it right and /or Google was correct.
My experience with them was that I received one part of an order, a dial indicator, but not the remainder( QCTP blocks ) which too several weeks, There were out of stock and did not inform me when I ordered and Paid for them. It took from 29th December to late February 2020 to receive the blocks.
I had to find that out out later by going back to my order on their website where they had them listed nil stock. I had no contact from them to inform me of this nil stock situation, prior to me chasing them up by email.
As of today they are still advertising the the same QCTP block as $20 TOTAL price .The $10 and $3 GST are added at the invoice /checkout stage. Note that each item is a separate post/shipping cost meaning they do not combine postage costs for multiple items.
Two QCTP blocks cost me $33 each NOT $20 total (each) cost as indicated in the picture ad on their website.
While I do have every sympathy for Felix and his unfortunate predicament, M & G as a business entity really don't do themselves any favors as they are definitely not proactive in keeping their customers in the loop.

I went out to the warehouse about 10 days ago and bought a few things.
Alex has been looking after things locally while Felix is in China. Call/text him a call on +61-4-30083332 if you're concerned (that number is on the Contact Us page of their website - so its already public info). I know he's not at the warehouse every day.
Alex did mention that the landlord wasn't extending their lease so they were moving a couple of km's down the road to somewhere in Tarneit.
As yet I haven't got the new address, but I did get that same email from Felix announcing the move.
As I've said before - I've bought a few things and had no dramas or quality issues.
In saying that I've always purchased directly from the warehouse and not via ebay/website - so haven't had to deal with them remotely or with any shipping.

Grahame, your experience is totally different to mine. I have bought a lot of stuff from them, always been charged the correct price and they have always combined the items to reduce the freight. As for the quality, I have found it all to be upmarket Chinese, like I expected.

Went out there yesterday to pick up a few things. Alex is in the middle of packing everything up to move down the road, while apparently Felix is stuck in China.
Few stock errors (they showed their 200 series quick change tool posts as in stock, but actually out of stock). But other than that its pretty standard.
I think Felix looks after the ordering and website, while Alex does the warehousing and postage.

UPDATE......
Package arrived today. I managed to contact Felix yesterday on his international email address. No explanation why the other addresses rejected emails.

I ordered some items from him a week ago and received them yesterday. All but one are pretty good quality and I highly recommend you DON'T buy the small Tilt Table ($75). I can't afford to pay for return freight so I'll see if I can dismantle and refurbish it. Very reminiscent of 15 years ago Chinese metalwork.
Just to reduce the negativity, I have bought a fair amount from them and the Tilt Table is the only item I was disappointed with.
