I ordered a replacement Husqvarna chainsaw clutch cover for my S.I.L on 27/01/2021 and it arrived on Thursday 11/03/2021. It is slightly different from the ebay picture, but I think it is the correct part for the saw. The use of generic product photos is a constant ebay problem for me, particularly with items from China. The devil is in the detail.

Wow you have more patience than I would if delivery took 20 + years.

I ordered two Oil level temperature gauges for the coolant tank on my bandsaw from Aliexpress on the 4/3/2021 and they arrived today 17/3/2021. That's the quickest time I've had anything from Aliexpress in.

The Aliexpress sellers do seem to have improved their delivery times somehow, I ordered an LCD DRO on the 1/3/21 and it arrived yesterday, which I thought was pretty good.

QCTP and holders, 22days
AliExpress, ordered 25th Feb, arrived 18th Mar.
Sadly, one of the holders has mis-cut/ground Vs:

which is odd – one out of the 6 holders only. I would have thought they were all done on the same machine!

Look at it this way. The units are likely made in machining fixtures. All that is needed is a bit of uncleaned
swarf in the fixture to cause a defect rendering that particular unit unusable.
The operators are more than likely poorly trained rural labourers performing long hours on a boring job.
The Chinese idea of Quality control is to give you a new one after you have made the effort to complain long and hard about the crappy item.
It is the down side of buying cheap, unfortunately! Other countries have had the process of starting with products that weren't so good but evolved to a point making quality and cost effective products they are proud of.
I do not believe overall China will ever reach that level due to the own leaders.
My point of view and I am sticking with it.

Looks like I will be lodging a dispute about my order with the bank. None of the links to site I bought from, work anymore.

WOW! Australia post says my package is in Sydney awaiting clearance. Only took 76 days to get that far. Might get it this month if lucky.

I lost out on $55 last year right when covid hit, ordered a 125mm back plate ER40 collet chuck for the lathe.
Shipping was cancelled and I contacted the seller, they told me to cancel the order for personal reasons and would refund me.
Then they wouldn't refund the equivalent Aussie dollar and I couldn't start a dispute with the way it was cancelled.
I contacted the seller and they refused to answer messages saying contact AliExpress which I did several times over the next 6 months.
AliExpress told me cancelled shipping meant it was never picked up, but after 4 tries of contacting AliExpress and getting nowhere I gave up, first time I've been scammed from AliExpress.
So beware of a seller that ask to cancel for personal reasons as it leaves nothing to go back onto.
Last Friday I received my order for 10x red momentary switches and 10x green after a long wait.
Came back from holidays to find one red one green in the packet.
I contacted the seller and he said the worker had got it wrong and to start a dispute, so up to 14 days to get your money back after the dispute closes, pay more as I bought them on the big sale etc and wait again, not happy as it's setting the project back even further.
Overall for other things postage time has been reasonable though, some things are so quick, where others are a bit slow.
I usually have 10-30 things on the way at one time as after covid it is so much cheaper than eBay, unless it's bigger items stocked in Australia.
Also found gears to be so much cheaper which I've been buying a fair few of lately with good postage times.
