HELP with Mounting Brass
Hi there!
I'm working on a project with a local operating engineers union - we've created a brass ring to enclose a rug being displayed in the entry way of their facility.
The rug is placed in a hole in the concrete with a piece of glass on top. They are installing a rug to go around the rug display, it's going to be glued to the concrete. Our task is to secure the brass on top of the rug - any suggestions of adhesives for the brass? I've included a photo of the rug display and the brass - the carpet is not installed so it's not pictured.
I was thinking possibly epoxy? But we can't drill into the concrete at all so it has to be a topical adhesive. Any suggestions are appreciated! Thank you.

Interesting - perhaps a urethane based adhesive or talk to people who maintain roads and see what they use.
Are there any keying features into the recess to limit sideways forces on the ring?

This article suggests a number of adhesives. Under structural adhesives it lists epoxies.
Loctite also make a few different structural adhesives listed on this page.
Using their product selector, I entered "concrete" as substrate 1 and "metal" as substrate 2 and it show two suitable products:
Loctite EA9490
Loctite EA E20HP A/B
Both products are epoxies.
I haven't tested any of these products, but that would be my starting point.
