Startrack does not mean much, its owned by Australia Post. If you pay extra for quick service then you might get it.
Had an 18kg box come today. $96 northern NSW to Perth, 10 days. Just hope the parts make the bike go faster.

They maybe owned by Australian post, I don't know.
A close mate of mine drives a B double delivering startrack from Brisbane to Sydney/ Sydney to Brisbane weekly, but doesn't carry any Australian post stuff.

Under the trailer in the belly boxes he has delivered me 2x surface plates+stands from Brisbane to Newcastle, amongst alot of other things, lol

Out of interest I did a couple of quick online quotes with E-go couriers. Without knowing exactly where you are:
10kg, 30x30x20 parcel is ~$42 from Melbourne western suburbs to Taree, $36 to Port Macquarie and $50 to South West Rocks.

Based on that, I'd say the $50 Magpro are charging isn't unreasonable considering packaging etc.

I find when sending stuff to people if it can be kept under the magic 5kg mark and fits in an Austpost pre-paid satchel that's usually a pretty economic way.

    That's interesting.
ok so I thought I'd try that too.
I did the online quote for Fastway. He mentioned they may use them.
    I put in 50 x 30 x 30cm and 12KG to my place.
Not sure why there's a variance but it came up with between $27-$33.

Anyway don't worry it's all good. I'm happy with the overall price and I can't wait till they turn up and try them out.
and thanks heaps for the link to them. I will be buying more from them for sure.

Does anyone go pick up from them? Anyone know whether they are open weekends for pickup?

They're a bit slow sending stuff. I ordered last Wed and it's now Mon.
I had to ring them to see what happening cos the account shows that it's not sent yet.
He said they will send it today via sendle which he thinks will use Austpost. That'll take a while.

Hahaha, I looked and honestly thought the prices where to good to be true from an Australian supplier.
If they pick up on postage time/ prices at checkout they will do great business.

I bought a bearing from eBay Australia at 4x times the cost from China. It didn't turn up and took 2 weeks after redelivery because they sent it cheap with no tracking number. Fair enough they sent 2 for my hassle, but I wanted it quick.
I've bought stuff recently from Tiawan and it arrived in 6 days.

    Lol.
I see there's 2 sides to the story really.... The goods and the service. The prices are good and prob so are the items. Service (including freight choice and price) needs a kick up the backside. Hopefully they will get the idea eventually through feedback/reviews.
It's not hard to see they are intentionally profiteering from the freight cost.
In the emailed invoice they sent me, they made a point of saying that the discounted freight of $50 is better than the usual full cost that the items I ordered would be $88, which of course is an absolute joke. and just think, why wasn't the post say $51.50 or $48.75 or something like that ? it's because they picked a figure out of the air.
At an overpriced $50 I expect them to run to their car and speed to a courier depot.

I'd like to see them go ahead and stock lots more items and sell heaps and get rich (not at my expense) so fix the web, fix the freight and fix the laziness and everyone will be happy.

There in lies my problem around it. Their business model is based upon a level of deception. If your goods have a market price of X then sell them for X, not 1/2 X and make the sale sustainable by being deceptive on freight costs. Businesses that do that need to go out of business as quickly as possible not be sustained by the general populous in the hope they will improve the level of service by being less deceptive. Just my 2c on the subject.

Sent Mon, arrived today (2 days). That's quick.
Sendle used Fastway. Hats off to them.

I'm impressed with the items I received. I haven't measured them or tried them out yet, but they look great.
    123 blocks are nicely made.
    Parallels nice too.
    Telescoping gauges appear fine.
Clamping set well made and it fits (bonus).
and the 20mm cutter ... sharpest dog gone cutter I've ever seen. The flutes are like razor blades and no exaggeration there. I was very tentative getting it out of the container. If it keeps a sweet edge I'll definitely be buying more.

So I'm really happy with the purchase, and they picked the right courier after all.

I think you might be safe now racingtadpole.

P.S..... My online account with Mag-pro still shows these items as unshipped. They just won't update their website.
