6th Jan 2020, 10:12 PM #17I think that's the brand that H&F sells.Frisky wife, happy life. Then I woke up. Oh well it was fun while it lasted. From an early age my father taught me to wear welding gloves . "Its not to protect your hands son, its to put out the fire when u set yourself alight".

I found this the other night
https://www.callingtonhaven.com/meta...ing_fluids.php
so I filled in their form asking about 5 litres of CalCool S1 and a price.
Got a reply back from what appears to be another company called "Toolmate" www.metalworkingfluids.com.au
They recommended "Tool Mate Green" 5 litres for $62 + GST and freight. Total price delivered to me $85.25.
So I decided to order some. Called the number on the quote and the girl that answered sounded like it was a real effort to answer the phone. She then took my details and said that someone from their Melbourne sales team would "Call me shortly". That was around 1.00 pm. So, as I hadn't been contacted by 3.00 pm I called again. Got the same person who sounded even more put out. I explained that I really wanted to order the coolant today. She then repeated "their Melbourne sales team would call me shortly " She sounded quite put out.
So here we are, its almost 10.00pm and I'm still waiting for the call. lol
So I'm thinking if that is what their customer service is like, what is their product like?
Maybe their business is going so good that they don't need to bother with a small 5 litre order.
Interesting times

Hi Peter,
When that happens to me I ask to speak to a manager and try to escalate things. I've had free samples doing that. Firms don't like bad publicity ! Particularly if you are in a position to influence their sales or reputation.Best Regards:

I called Callington Haven this morning and spoke to one of their sales blokes (Daniel). Turns out Tool Mate fluids is a reseller of Callington Havens products. They just rename the stuff.
I told Daniel of my experience with Toolmate and he said hes had a similar experience when dealing with them. He also said he was going to speak to his boss about it.
These are the sort of companies that go belly up and can't understand why.
