Little Hoggers = Face Mills or end mills ?
How do you use these things - they look more like what I have been calling face mills rather than end mills.
Do you use them just like an ordinary end mill ? They are advertised as Indexable End Mills

They look like face mills to me as well, although you could probably use the one on the right for chamfering if you wanted to.

They are effectively a two flute carbide end mill. Use them as you would a regular two flute. The left one will cut a radius, the right a chamfer, the centre a slot.

Before you buy, find out if they carry the replacement tips, also if they are an ordinary size not special?

Hi Guys,
They look to be good value ! I bet they wouldn't ship to the UK though...
You wouldn't believe how many Ebay and other adds say that they won't ship to the UK. Then you find the same Item advertised here at twice the price or more, often from the same supplier !Best Regards:

I bought a set years ago from CDCO in the US. The triangular insert is negative rake double sided one but only about 3mm thick. I could only get replacements from CDCO in sets for the 3 endmills. I found that the impacts were rather brutal on the cutting edges which break very often. Finish left by the triangular cutter is definitely only a hogging cut. Too slow a feed and they rub.
Saying all that; I am presently doing a job in hard material (same material as Bob Thomas' vice jaws) where I may have to resort to it and sacrifice my last few edges. Would be the hogging cut then ground finish to size.

Just out of interest....I got bored while waiting for jobs to complete at work so looked up postage.
They would fit in 2kg satchel for "standard post" service with Australia Post - AUD$65, and approx 8 days delivery metro-metro.
Also out of interest I emailed Alex at Mag-pro asking what type of inserts they take. Will post here once he responds.

I bought mine from CDCO in the states
they are also available from suppliers on Aliexpress.
I found the TNMG inserts at .125" thick hard to come by, so now use TNMG332's with a longer screw...works good
dont use the round or diamond arbor so cant comment
