Congratulations on your new mill.
Bet you can't wait to make some chips!
Do you have to wait till after Christmas?

Hi,
Nice score! Are you going to do a U tube video? I'm looking at downsizing (maybe) and that's what I'll look at as a replacement.
Ben.

Ben I am considering it but will be a while. I had my sights on the new HM-46B at the last 3 day sale in Brissy where I spoke with one of the young fellows from workshop he pointed out the raise lower of the HM-48 its added Z axis DRO. the price scared me off to start with but over all not much different with all the 46B addons I had listed. I'm ahead as my should would be buggered further if cranking handles

Either buy one of the cheap power feeds, or work out another cheaper motor for the head lift.
I bought new knee gears (still to fit) at half the ratio for my knee power feed I fitted that's rated at 510lbs, but it seems to strain at lower speeds so I still crank the knee.Using Tapatalk

Hi,
How'd you go moving it around? I had another look on the website and it's pretty hefty at 430 kgs. One of the reasons I'm thinking of downsizing is weight and ease of moving it around everywhere. Are there eye-bolts for lifting?
Regards Ben.

Sorry I replied to the wrong thread, not sure how.
I looked at those Mills not long after the came out, they sure do have all the options.
A Y axis power feed would top it off, then you would have power everything.Using Tapatalk
