More on the cutter grinder
Here we are again.
The sub plate fitted to the grinder and the work head set up for 4 facet drills. Next step is a micrometer table stop for point splitting and slot drill gashing.
Pic number 3 is of an indexing finger from my Servian tool grinder. Good and solid with a micrometer adjustment. I find these large units quick to fit and they give confidence with the loud click.
Let me know if your getting bored with shapers and tool grinders.
BC
This extension to the grinder works better than expected and does not foul the table operating lever.

I doubt anyone on here would be getting bored with shapers and tool grinders.
Someone always has a different idea/way on setting up a machine.
Nice to see a newbie like yourself getting into it with gusto on here, with what they're doing and with pics too.
Thanks

Definately not bored!
SimonGirl, I don't wanna know about your mild-mannered alter ego or anything like that." I mean, you tell me you're, uh, super-mega-ultra-lightning babe? That's all right with me. I'm good. I'm good.

Not boring at all. Different ideas are great and can be adapted to suit our own applications.

Definitely boring I can't imagine why any one on a metal work forum would have any interest in a tool and cutter grinder

That's the trouble nowdays, unless it's numerically controlled, no one wants to know.
That's what I love about this forum, members restoring/repairing/using old machinery where it takes skill to operate and get finished to size,To grow old is mandatory, growing up is optional.
