This plate (approx 7" diameter) goes on top of the gismo for indexing.
Turned boss, scrap 3mm al plate, 6mm cap head holds it on the shaft.
The three spare holes you can see underneath was for mounting to a piece of mdf to bore the centre and trim the outer edge.

I found after a few that I 'tuned in' to the accent and while I wouldn't say I don't notice it, I have no problem with it
Did take a few episodes though.

The cutter has a 6mm keyslot but is only 4.2mm thick. A bit small to be using a proper key. So what I did was: Before turning the arbor to fit the bore of the cutter, I cross drilled and tapped it to take a 6mm cap head with shank (because it's high tensile), then cut off the head leaving about 2mm of the shank to fit into the keyslot then cut a slot in the end of it for a screwdriver.
It's only threaded in about 6mm so I'm hoping it will be strong enough to take the hammering, but I did make sure it was screwed in really tight.

Now ready to cut the gears.
Just want to confirm the depth of cut before I start.
The two gears are 30T and 32T.
So, if I've got this right : For module 1.25 .... It's (constant) 2.157 x (module) 1.25 = (depth of cut) 2.69625.
Close enough to 2.7mm ?
I would move the blank in until it only just contacts the cutter teeth, then further advance the blank 2.7mm, to achieve the cutting depth ?
