morse taper #2
Hi All,
Have the opportunity to buy a mill that has a morse taper #2
Would i have troubles with tooling for something like this?
What issues should i be thinking about with morse taper #2
Dont know too much about them

I don't know about others but my MT2 stuff seems to slip a lot easier than MT3.
This is much less of a problem if it has a draw bar capability - if not I would not buy it.

I'm happy with the MT2 on my small mill/drill.
Some even used MT1.
There's lots of stuff you can buy with MT2 - collet and drill chucks are easy to find for example.
For milling, it really needs a drawbar, so get them with threaded ends. M10 is common but watch out there's also 3/8 inch so you might end up with two drawbars.

I don't see any problems with a MT2, and being a mill it will have either metric or imperial drawbar. MT tooling is cheap compared to say NT30
