Morse Taper MT2 and 2MT
I'm about to purchase my first lathe.
The lathe's specs say the tailstock has a Morse Taper MT2.
According to the manual my drill stand has a 2MT Morse Taper (B16-2MT).
Is there any difference between an MT2 Morse Taper and a 2MT taper?
If there isn't (which I suspect) then I'll be able to use the drill's chuck in the lathe tailstock. If there is a difference then I'll have to by another chuck for the lathe.

An old timer at work used "MTx" for plugs (males) and "xMT" for the sockets (female) - or was it the other way around - can't remember.
I once held up an MT2 female to MT3 male adapter in front of him asked him what he would call it and he quickly said "2MT to MT3"
Clever when you think about it as long as you can remember which way around it is.
