Thread: Surface plate group buy

A Friend of mine is buying some Surface plates from China, any size you want is available as well as granite Squares and parallels 00 grade . I am just posting too see if anyones interested I will pass on his details if you are. They will be shipped to Brisbane port.

Maybe a 1500 x 900 plate depending on price. Got a perfectly good 1200 x 900 but it'd be nice to be able to check/scrape a 1800 long straight edge across the diagonal.

One of my last 1m straight edge castings is on the planer ATM, now I've finally gotten around to fixing the planer drive. Might post a few pix when I get some time - the Kearns HBM got a bit of a workout.

Though I *am* supposed to be scaling back.....

Whete ya gunna find all these cheese for that platter...no mattrr how much you buy the plate will look empty...lol

I'd be very interested, however in 3 weeks I'm moving overseas for a year.

Unless someone wants to store a 900x600 plate for me...

Am interested in straight edge and perhaps a cylindrical square if someone in the buy could hold them for a year.

Any indication on pricing or do you need specific requests?
