I've always like the screw jack stands, you can get things perfectly level. Now you just need another two

I only need two as I am planning to mount rollers on the top and use them as adjustable stock supports for my horizontal band saw.

Those bottle holders are good, we have some at work on the line boring trailer. You need to slip them over bottle and then lock them into the mount (channel shaped part you don't have). Turns out they break if you try to push the bottle through the gap, don't ask me how i know that.

Snapatap,
Thanks for the heads up. I was planning just to drill a hole in the back and bolt them to my welding trolley.
I will do some research on the original mounting method.
Cheers

WOW. I just googled these things to see how they should be mounted, and they are $230 each on ebay.

I only paid $3, YES no typo THREE for the PAIR.....Got to love a bargain
I will now make up the proper style of bracket.
Cheers

My little win was about was a box of about 50 old Wiltshire files. Many unused, all a bit rusty (not anymore since their bath in Rustblaster).
Need to make a pile of simple handles now. I don't like the holes in the palm any more that I've dug a few times in the past....

Hi Joe,
What is Rustblaster? Any pics of the de-rusted files?

Sorry, Ken and everyone else: I meant EvapoRust (available form Supercheap Auto).
It's a chelating agent that converts FeO2 into FeO3 which just washes off with a brush and water.
I'll take a pic tomorrow of the clean files. They just look like new files - pale gray. I sprayed them with WD40 to prevent them rusting again after washing.Cheers, Joe
