Unusual pliers
Have seen these before, but no idea what they would be used for...
150 mm long with a 4.8 mm gap between the jaws.
well made , but unbranded.

I reckon I've seen these used by Telstra linemen to squash the silicon filled wire connectors they used to use or still use for copper phone cables....

Solved !!!!... thank's jhovel for pointing me in the right direction.. apparently
they are Scotchlok pliers... I didn't even know they still made those joiners anymore.

They do and I found them a CURSE. I was a manager at a trailer hire place, and was responsible for the lights to work on vehicles. About 50% didn't, most of these were caused by the scotchloks in the boot getting wet and corrodeing.

I was always of the opinion that Scotchloks/Scotch connectors were only used for emergency running repairs
