Thread: 6' Camel Back Straight Edge

What is a fair price for what I estimated was 6' long?

May have some surface rust under the timber or could be pristine, I didn't look.

Was someone here looking for a big straight edge?

I paid AU$139 plus gst and buyers premium for my 72" brown & Sharpe with timber stand at auction, was actually the cheapest and biggest of the three. They didn't actually know what to call it and listed it as an "arched parallel bar" didn't even include the make or the fact it still has wax on the flat. I like to think I lucked out quite well, saw the same one in the states for about 700 US and some crazy shipping price. As far as I can tell they're not as sort after by hobbyist's for obvious reasons. it takes two of us to safely move the dam thing but funnily enough the 60" SE is only a little but lighter and proportionally much heavier than the brown & sharpe. Is it yours or one you're looking to buy?

Neither actually. It's too big for anything I can see me owning. I like the small one in your photo. I think you'd pay more than that just for a casting.

I saw it for sale and was just curious to the value and I thought I saw someone post on here recently that they were looking for a big one and it might be of interest to them.
