Waldown drill - How to remove spindle from quill?
I'd like to replace the bearings on a 2M Waldown drill press spindle, so I've removed the quill (with spindle) and the large circlip and shim at the bottom. I'm not sure exactly how to remove the spindle though.
There is a small circlip on the spindle way down inside the quill above the bearings but I don't see how that can be removed. I've looked at the exploded diagram from brobo and seems to me that I should be able to push/press/hammer the spindle out the bottom once the big circlip is removed, can anyone confirm this or tell me how to do it?

It just pushes out. Please don't use a hammer - the spindle is not hardened! If you have access to a press with that capacity (in terms of length) it will come out easy. Not much force required. Even something improvised would work.
