Warrick & Eskimo, just to clear up what i said in my post above, I was not referring to the VFD voltage requirements.
I was referring to the statement that Warrick made in his post

"it is rated for 240v 3phase not 415v as we have in Aust".

If you already have the drive, I'd power it up on single phase and see if you get any missing phase alarms.

If you have a quick look at the manual you can see that they make two different models for 3 phase and single phase

The connections can be seen in the photo below

Re-read what Ray wrote: "just connect it to single phase" (even without a motor connected) and see if it powers up without error message. If it tells you a phase is missing, then bridge the vacant connector to one of the connected ones. If it still reports a missing phase, I suspect you are out of luck.

A magnetic contactor (MC) should, if necessary, be mounted independent of the MCCB or ELCB to cut off the
power fed to the inverter. Refer to Chapter 6, Section 6.3. [ 1 ] for details. MCs or solenoids that are to be installed
close to the inverter require connecting surge absorbers in parallel to their coils.

I don't have three-phase, but I know the lathe was hard wired to three-phase in it previous home.
I had another look last night but couldn't see any tags on the motor.
