I sneaked back in there from about 4.00 p.m to closing last night. Seemed to be a bit more "vibe" in the place. That's the busiest 4 hours of the entire show, on the late night. Caught up with a few mates, that you only see every two years at the show. Bumped into Rex / Techo1 from this forum.

The Bar at the DMG / Mori stand seemed to be the busiest. Never understood that. Its not EMO. Go to town, then sit on your bum, drinking free beer. (I have nothing against free beer). But there is a show to look at.

Bumped into another mate that I've know for 25 years. He was a senior service engineer at Mori. Top hand full in this country as a Service Engineer. Gave it away 18 months ago. Looked as fit as a mallee bull. His son is a sparky. They got in to this National broad band roll out. Excavator and a Ditchwitch. Spends half his day on a crowbar or a shovel. Tells me he sleeps like a baby at night.

I'm thinking about going home and buying a dairy farm.

    Regards Phil.

Stu had the "Melbourne", and that's where the batteries went flat.

Will 2015 suffice? Pictures: Austech 2015

There's normally a review that will come out next week. I think Amtil have a pro photographer come thru.

    Regards. Phil.

A couple of things that i found out that would be useful to home machinists:
Capral aluminum now have an online store, but they don't deliver to my place in country SA, so i guess its only metro areas.
Aluminium Flat Bar & Angles, Aluminium Sheets – 1800 Aluminium

And this mob sell plastic online, they sell round in 1M lengths but sheet only in 1Mx2M.
They seemed pretty keen to support the hobby market.

Best showbag was the sutton one. Stubby holder, mouse pad, coffee cup, 1/4" drill bit, speeds and feeds poster (very rare to have these given away now) and a note pad. I was actually surprised to get the drill bit through security at the airport, last time they wanted to confiscate the digital micrometers i bought.

    Sorry no photos, i forgot.

If you know how to drive Instagram, Linkedin, Facebook etc. There must be any amount of pics. I tried, I always end up at with a Tweet or a Twerk of Miley Cyrus's hind end.
