    Default Finally milling

[some of you may remember I have this little
    Mill sitting around.
    I finally got it running.
So I can do a repair job on my Colchester lathe apron. After all these years I've finally done some cutting. I'm just running it with original motor(slow winding and a hysang vfd.
    So far so good

    New donk.
The old things got a new donk. It's down the bottom to the right. One day I'll clean up.
I've just been getting to know the machine while I wait for a edge/centre finder In the post.

What did you do with the old 2 speed motor? It looks about the right size to refit to my Romanian mill if you want to part with it. The previous owner of mine fitted a 240V single speed 3 phase motor and tossed the 415V one in the trash, the idiot. I want the machine back to how it's supposed to be so I don't have to second-guess speeds and feed rates (he also didn't fit a frequency display or tach).

Hi pete I've still got it it's about 1m from the mill . I'll have to think about getting rid of it.

When you say slow winding and Hysang VFD,was the motor still wired in Star configuration.

No rush, just keep me in mind if you don't need it any more.

Finally got back to the Tos grinder the other day. It too has a 2 speed motor, as I thought. Even better, it works.

Pity I found a small casting with a crack in it that failed as I replaced the table. TIG brazing is now on the job list.
