    Thumbs up Presto.

    Hi Guys,

I said that I would post when I recieved the literature that Presto UK were going to send to me, well they turned up the other day.

They are a very nice pocket book detailing all sorts of data. I've taken some photographs of some of the pages.

Thanks for that Baron, looks to be a very interesting book with a lot of good information. I just down loaded it, for future referance.

Is that a download off their site too? I hope to get to MTA Singapore again this year, an awesome show if anyone can make it, and maybe Presto will be there again.

Did they get back to you with a definitive answer on where their drills are actually made? The so called "Country of Origin" is a funny animal and the definition of it varies from reasonably strict here in Australia ie it needs to be actually majority manufactured here, to a complete farce in other jurisdictions. As I understand it, in Europe the Country of Origin is deemed to be the country in which the company has its head office and/or conducts most of its business operations. We see that in the cycling industry a lot, where a classic Italian brand is in fact made in Taiwan by Giant, yet proudly displays "Made in Italy" on all the frames.

Could it be that the frames are made in Italy, but the rest is assembled in Tiawan?

Thank you for the photos BJ

My daughter had asked me if I had a spare tapping chart for small diameter metric threads. I didn't have one but now, thanks to you and Presto, we both have one.

Sorry had a computer issue there, so my answer never got posted, but the short answer is no. They are made in China/Taiwan

    Hi Pete F,

I know little more about the countries of origin than I previously said. I did notice that in one of their catalogues that they give the country of origin as UK, and USA, etc but don't mention Europe or Asia. I also noticed that they have yet to correct the history web pages.
