rubber mallet
Have you noticed all the daiso shops in the cities now? They are like $2 shops, but everything in them is made in japan and costs $2.70. All junk you might think. However, i got this dinky little rubber mallet. I've been taking apart something with no instructions and this wee thing has proved brilliant. You can tap something you are not too sure is supposed to come off yet, just the perfect amount. Its a great weight, very useful. I'm going back to get another. By the way, have you ever tried going into a $2 shop and saying how much is this?

The big one for comparison by the way, is bigger than usual. My normal sized one is mangled and I need a new one.

The Japanese have been making quality gear for decades.
The big surprise is the $2.70 price tag.
I wish we had a Daiso shop in Hobart.

I also find that the daiso stores sell a lot of kinds of scalpels and weird little craft knives which can be really useful.
