Metrology Tour
Hi Guys
As many of you know, my son Andrew works at the National Metrology Lab and we have run a few tours through the lab.
At this time I am just sounding out expressions of interest for another tour. What we get to see depends a little on what they are doing at the time but I think that those that attended previous tours were quite happy with what they saw.
The tour would be on a weekday afternoon in Port Melbourne and runs for about 2 1/2 hours.
If you are interested let me know which day is preferred and subject to Andrews availability the majority will pevail.

Hi Roger, I would be interested if timing is suitable between 9 - 17 August as I should be in Melbourne at that time. Thank you for making this offer available again. Alan.

I would be interested in a tour. Amazing how unemployment opens up opportunities.

As long as I have a couple of weeks notice, I am good any time.
I have wanted to go the last couple of times, but as usual life got in the way.
This time however I will make sure I can go.

Hi Guys
I am back from holidays and caught up with Andrew today.
He is going to try to organise another tour in August for those that indicated support for that month. He also said that if we have enough support he will try to organise another tour in late September.
We need at least 6 to 8 participants to make it worthwhile for his boss to agree as we are using an afternoon of productive work time each tour.

Metrology Tour
Hi Guys
The tour will be on Thursday 11th of August at 1430.
The address is 1/153 Bertie St Port Melbourne.
I would suggest we aim to arrive at around 1400 which gives us a bit of time to meet each other and also allow for traffic hold-ups
We will probably finish around 1700 which puts us into afternoon peak traffic going home.
Andrew is also trying to organise another tour end of September. I will keep you posted.

Great. More peak hour traffic in Melbourne. An ideal way to kill some time. We do get some heavy traffic around here tho. I passed 3 cars on our road the other day. My brother rang me for my recent birthday. We talked for 1.5 hrs. He had pulled off the road on his way home because of heavy traffic. It was Finke Desert Race weekend and he saw 5 cars in the time he was talking to me.
I will be visiting the Convention Centre on Saturday so I should be able to find my way there come August.
