    Default A simple recessing tool

Wandering around the net I came across this 'simple recessing tool' from google books 1924 Popular Mechanics page 1044, I think it was intended for repetition work on a turret lathe. Its an interesting idea but I could see chatter being a problem, has anyone seen such a device being used?

If the link doesn't work just google simple recessing tool

some good reading in that Bob
like mallory and everest...the adds for electricity jobs...etc etc
also and on page 947, even back then they used terminology akin to what they tell us are "Safety Camera". The article says "roadside scale for weighing autos aids traffic survey" convince a truckie of thet one lol lol.
page 974..internal mic...new invention?..i thought they had been around well before that.
    1040...a radius turning tool
    apologies for going OT Bob.
