    Default Waldown drill press table question



    On the underside of the front yo corners of the table of the 8SN series 3. Are two threaded bosses. Anyone know what they are for?

    Know? No.
    My guess is they are for mounting while machining the top of the table.

    Yes that would be a sound suggestion but bolts for what purpose?

    stu, possible but earlier models didn't have them so I'm thinking maybe some accessories attached there.

    Hold down clamp of some sort or even so a fence can be attached?

    What would be very handy are outriggers for supporting long work pieces, these mounting holes would make something like this very easy to instal.

    Would tend to lean toward a clamp , possibly an over centre type.

    I notice that there is no centre through hole ! I would guess at fixings for some kind of guide or jig plate.
