Wow, just wow, congratulations mate.
It's been a long time coming for you with droughts etc and a massive amount of work and dollars, but the rewards are now paying off for you. You have an arsenal of machines etc stored away ready to fill it up I see.
Enjoy, I'm happy for you and would love to visit one day if I'm ever up that way.
I've seen some US guys pages that I thought there shops where great, but for us Aussies you win hands down.
Thanks for sharing.

Geez Mark, the new shed looks really cluttered up already, you sure that you don't want a few of us to come up and clear some of that "junk" out of your way to give you some room?

Not sure where the power discussion went but thought I’d show what my bro installed for me about 40 years ago.
Its Vass Electrobar which is a bus bar system you can change the outlets as you move Machinery around.
These come up at auctions where plants are closing and sell for peanuts.
The company used to be in Sydney here at Marrickville and the stuff was made here in Oz.
They still are here in NSW look them up on google.
The bars are 4 metres in length and can be joined in a straight line or at a 90degree bend.
I have two in my main shop and one in the wood area.
I picked up a stash of 240 and 415 fittings at the Boeing auction and have modded some 240 ones by adding pull switches to section operate the new led lighting areas.

Photos don’t want to load currently, will try later if there’s any interest.Jimcracks for the rich and/or wealthy. (aka GKB '88)

Thanks for the kind words.
The shed remains a serious work in progress. Real work (ie the paying type) continues to get in the way and can only snatch a few hours here or there. But continue to slowly move things along. Have nearly all the main machines in the shed now. Just the big cylindrical grinder, drill sharpener, and centre hole grinder to move. They are not all in the right position but at least they will all be safely out of the weather. Have probably moved 50 tonnes of machinery in last 6 months.
Still have about 60 insulation panels to install in one wall so once that is finished can start moving things along that wall and gradually put machines in their final place. The overhead crane is a godsend for this.
Power is going to be an ongoing problem. Only have 63A of power available to the shed. if I only operate one machine at a time this will supply all motors up to 10HP 3 phase. I have a 15HP rotary phase converter to convert single phase to 3 phase. For bigger machines ( like the big planer which has a 30HP electric motor) and the 3 phase welder I crank up the 75kVA generator.
Once the main machines are in place will then have the room to move the big granite plates and the big dividing engines.
Then it levelling and bolting down time.
But my wife is having a hip replacement today so no shed time for the next few weeks

Yes Mark, I can only reiterate the comments above, I too wish you both all the best and hope that you can soon take her dancing, and that she is able to wiggle those hips just like she could when you both first met.

Wow 6 monthly updates have become the norm
So wife has a new hip
No issues and recovered well
Wet year so farm is looking great
Retired from full time medical work 2 month ago
Thinking NOW I'll have more shed time
But contacted to go back to work dealing with Covid positive patients and their close contacts who are isolating at home
Hopefully this will only be to the end of the year (fingers crossed)
So back to the shed
Have nearly finished moving all the machines from there various storage places to the new shed
Still have a lot of moving around so they are all in there correct places
Starting cleaning and leveling the bigger machines
Have been working on the big planer last month
Unwrapping, cleaning, making leveling plates and starting to get all the electrics back connected
IMG_2701 (2).jpg Still got plenty to do but slowly getting there
Cheers

Hot damn Mark. Loved following along, you must have the worlds best hobby shop. I hope I can get a tour of the museum and maybe get a lathe bed ground one day 😁
Thanks for sharing the journeyBETTER TO HAVE TOOLS YOU DON'T NEED THAN TO NEED TOOLS YOU DON'T HAVE

Thanks Guys.
My main interests these days are precision measurement and machining, and hopefully machine restoration. Once the shed and machines are finally finished (maybe another year) I would like to maybe do some videos on this. In this CNC/electronic world most of this stuff is completely obsolete but there is still some interest in how things were done in the past. So watch out for Mark's vintage machining and measurement video's, no sorry its youtube or snapchat or instragram or facebook nowadays. Ive learnt a lot from what others have kindly put on the internet so I would like to add my 2 cents worth for posterity.
