Your tech is wrong.. The first satellite will launch around 1st October (second one late next year I believe) From what I understand services will not be sold until well into next year sometime.. Even then it will years to connect all those that want to be connected and those already on satellite will not be given priority over those like myself that have never been allowed to connect to satellite (as we are in a Telstra 3G area).

Why do you think I said "I have been informed by a tech from my IP"?
I actually asked him to confirm "Are you saying NBN satellite be available from next month?" "Yes that is what I am saying".
I am not silly enough to believe it will happen. My understanding was it will start early next year, but it was quite a while ago that I read this.
I cannot buy extra data blocks anymore as they are trying to spread the available bandwidth. Three or four days shaped. When they say shaped they mean it. I use a download manager that makes Firefox downloads look like they are on dial-up. I have been getting speeds of nearly 10kb/sec. The forum page loading is go make a cup of coffee time.
