Smith & Arrow grinding discs
Is Smith & Arrow still offering members a discount on their products? I brought some cut off discs and grinding wheels which I found to be of good value and they threw in two of the Purple Poly Strip discs which are very good at removing rust and old paint. I need to buy some more of these.

I bought some cut off discs and flap discs a couple of months ago. They threw in two wire wheels. Still got free shipping.
They do a box of mixed grit flap discs (I think it's not on the website) which is handy.

I have used these guys for my grinding consumables for a while now. Have always been happy. I especially like their 125mm x 1mm stainless cut off discs.

Hi 19brendan81,
I bought a pack of the 1mm discs earlier and they sure slice through easily, being fairly thin the wear rate is high in thicker materials. The price per disc in pack lots makes them quite economical. Have you tried one of the purple (coarse grade) poly discs?. They clean up the surface of that black bar in a flash, remove rust and paint just as quick. Great for preparing metal for welding.

No I haven't Bob, but I have been intrigued by them. In fact if memory serves I bought one in my last order but haven't used it yet. I use their flapper discs a lot for de burring and knocking off paint but they can be a bit aggressive when new.

Hi Guys
In response to my tardiness in not keeping up with the monthly promos I will post a standing % discount CODE (across all of our products: Abrasives, welding, Painting, Auto, Safety, etc.) in the correct Members Only promotions thread over the next day or two to make life simpler (and cheaper) for those interested in buying from the Smith & ARROW website.
Thanks to all the support we have received from this forum
Cheers

Smith & ARROW CODE for permanent discount for Forum Members (& some welding !)
Hi Guys,
One must recognise and further accept one's failings if one is to improve.
With this in mind and my apparent inability to keep on top of the monthly specials, as well as the fact that all promotion items don't suit all customers' needs, I have set up a special discount code ONLY for members of the Woodwork Forums.
When you enter the code that I have put in the Members' Only thread at the checkout of our Australian website www.smithandarrow.com.au you will automatically receive a 20% discount on ALL purchases.
This includes:
· Cutting Wheels
· Grinding Discs
· Zirconia Sanding Discs
· Zirconia Flap Discs
· Velcro Backed Sanding Discs (now in 50 and 75mm and up to 2,000 grit)
· Welding Wire & TIG Filler Rods
· Disposable Valved P2 Masks
· Safety Glasses
· Safety Earplugs
· Poly Strip Discs
· Grinding Discs
· Zirconia Linishing belts
· HSS M2 Drill Bits & Sets
· HSS M35 (5% Cobalt) Drill Bits & Sets
· Paint Brushes - Tapered Filament Highest Quality

· etc etc etc
Please spread the word to Forum Members and always feel free to PM me or email me with any ideas, suggestions, or feedback!
Kind regards
Ben

Great. Thanks Ben. I have made some inroads into my last box of cutoff disks, so I will be ordering more soon. That is a very useful saving.
Now what's Dale up to?
