For that weight you might be better just phoning a taxi truck company and asking for something with a tail gate lifter.

Depending on access both ends, a car, tandem trailer and engine hoist hired for the day might also be a good option for the move if the vendor is not able to load with a fork etc. If you know dimensions of lathe, cabinets or stands etc, and the hoist, you might be able to get both onto a smaller trailer, but I know of people who's calculations didn't quite stand up to the test when the time came. Have shifted factory a few times for others that way.

Acco (member) has a truck with crane based in Yarra Ranges, but may be able to help if able to combine with another job that takes him to the area. Trailer and engine crane hire would probably be cheaper than hiring him to come over specially for the job though.
I used to be an engineer, I'm not an engineer any more, but on the really good days I can remember when I was.
