Default 5/8 or 16 mm round shank boring bars

I'm having trouble locating 5/8 boring bars (in Australia) to suit my milling machine boring head.Would any body know where to purchase some? or a alternative solution, other than buying another head.

    Thanks

Ted, can you make up a boring bar from some MS and then using a grub screw, secure a piece of say 6mm HSS in the end to do the cutting?
Plan B is to make up a sleeve, concertina'd like an ER collet that has a 16mm OD and say a 9.5mm ID to take a more commonly available bar.

Might be easier to source overseas,I see on ebay Cemented Carbide 12off for less than $60 AUD and Indexable 6 off for less than $120 AUD.

Have you tried toolexchange.com.au ? I think I recall seeing one or two 5/8 ones on the site yesterday.

    Thx

Michael, I did think of a sleeve, but more like a split bush, however, maybe it would not hold, your idea is a good one but I'm not at that level yet.
    Pipeclay,overseas looks like the go.
Jon, I must have mist them I do check the site on a regular basis some nice stuff on there.
For what it is worth the boring head is a AUSTRA 30D, the graduations are imperial and I have no idea where it was made, I did see a austra 40 on GraysOnline.

No need to overcomplicate things Ted, a split sleeve is all that is required and some boring head kits do come with various size I/D split sleeves.

I think Austra were made in Melbourne by Zenfords.
