Well, both will work, just one will have all the speed control compressed at one end of the rotation.. could be exactly what's required.

Well, that was not very useful. I managed to get a 10k linear pot. That was all I could get. Jaycar online here we go.

I have also ordered the Rothenberger LPG Torch kit that mentioned in a thread about LPG Torches last year. Dropped off my Oxy cylinder today.

    330mm long enough http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/330mm-10p...item20d94b1fdb

$1.59 with free postage, that's just plain ridiculous...

Unfortunately not. I was thinking 450mm to allow for some slack in the cable. The straight line measurement is about 330mm, but this does not allow for the connection in the VFD which is down under the cover. The 373mm long one they also have may just squeeze it, but I would prefer to get it sooner than a slow boat can deliver.

The enclosure I am using for the VFD is a little bit smaller than recommended. Just as a precaution I am going to use an electronic temp gauge with remote sensor that cost $1.97 from memory.
