    You are correct ..

cant go back down using pot or if the pot is switched off with the down arrow..

I just can't work out which pd function affects this...

Which as you might imagine is totally annoying..

I'm starting to wonder if your VSD is fried.
If you'd like to make a list of all your PD settings I can compare them to the settings on mine, but I doubt we are going to find a magic number. I've been wrong before though.

    Stuart G'day,

Ok sounds like a plan, I'll do that first thing in the morning.. almost midnight..

VSD fried who knows, but you made me go and smell it and it doesn't smell like its blown a gasket.

I'm sure it has to be something so dam simple..

    Greatly appreciate your assist.

    Cheers.

    Hi,
What sort of motor is it?
Looks like you need to change your main and base frequencies 003 and 004. Also try changing 026 to 0, that way you will get deceleration when changing speeds down so you should really notice if it is working.

    Hey Uee G'day,

    Thank you for your post,

    Ok motor is a water cooled spindle, 1.5kw 400mh - 5amp 24000 rpm its a GZD-80

if I change 026 to 0 then the stop button on the panel doesnt work... the spindle wont power down just keeps spinning 026 to 1 panel stop works as intended.

when you say change main and base frequencies 003/004 as I understand it 003 is for frequency you want the spindle to start up at 100/200/300 (whatever number) and 003 is what you are in actually fact adjust when using the up and down arrow keys on the panel - when I use the panel using the up arrow key increasing the numbers the spindle responds and speeds up - using the down arrow key only the numbers change but spindle speed doesnt..

004 should then be set at ???? 005 i would be right at assuming is the rated mh of the spindle which in my case is 400

    Thank you for your input.

    Steve

Well i've lost my book so i'm next to useless....

026 should not change how the stop button works, just how the motor slows down.

Well I cant see anything wrong.

There are some numbers that are different of course. Long shot PD138 you have as 0, my VSD and manual say 20..........I'm not even sure what it does.

I'll type up the rest after breakfast lol

Hi Stuart, I set the sleep frequency to Daily...

AFAIK It's used when you have multiple pump systems.

Not seeing anything obvious in that parameter list.

    Hi Steve,
Is the motor base frequency 400Hz?

I would try setting 003 to a lower setting and try it. maybe 300.
