OK got that out now how do I get this off?
I would say it is 1.5" American Standard 8 pitch series.

Bugger it all. I had my hopes up there when I found some Hercus stuff on eBay with the same number of tpi. Thanks for the tip Ewan. I don't spose anybody's got a BSF tap that big
Ah we'll I've had a good day. I will just drill my back plate and fit a dog driver to that.
