Default Help sought in identifying the make of lathe a change gear fits

I am attaching a picture of a change gear for a metal lathe. I am trying to find out what type of lathe it is meant for.
    It has 116 teeth.
    The bore is 9/16".
    The thickness is 7/16".
I think it is cast iron.
The outside diameter is about 6 1/2".
The words "TURNING GEAR" and the abbreviation "116 T" are cast in it.
The teeth mesh with the teeth on Hercus change gears, but the bore is wrong for an Hercus lathe (I think Hercus uses 5/8" whereas this is 9/16").

This was an orphan among some other gears in a lot of 10 gears I bought secondhand.

Not sure anyone will be able to help with the question you are asking.

Any lathe in essence could have any type of change gear as long as there is enough room for them to fit.

The gear you have appears to be an 18DP gear.

Hercus use 18DP gears on the change gears for there 9" and 260 lathes, they use a different DP on there larger machines.

The thickness is a 1/16" wider than a Hercus change gear for the 9" and 260.

The bore of 9/16" is correct for the 9" and 260 change gears.

    Pipeclay,

Thanks for the information. I think I gave wrong figures somehow in my original message, sorry about that, thanks for the correction(s).

Here's a picture of the unknown 116 tooth gear alongside / meshing with an 80 tooth Hercus gear (this 80 tooth is from a 1946 Hercus).
