Hi Stewart,
I did not intend to resurrect this old thread. Morrisman was looking for information about a Ford lathe, not the lathe which is the subject of this thread, here:

and I posted a link in the original thread to this thread because there was information here from a former owner of what I suspect is the same Ford lathe in the last two lines of Post 4, a photo of it in Post 5 and some further information from the former owner in Post 6 in this thread.
Morrisman replied here to my post in the original thread instead of in the original thread, which resulted in re-opening this thread and seems to have caused some confusion, probably not helped by this explanation!
