I think this is the first time I have seen a shaper with down feed plus a swivel table. Maybe a special order? I'm guessing the tracer was a retrofit but you never know. I would love more detail on how that works too. It's getting me thinking again about a CNC shaper. CNC is not something that usually interests me, but combined with old-school reciprocal motion it tickles my fancy.

Sadly Brian he is not going back there yet, but is regularly there fixing trucks so I will ask him to investigate a little next time. It's not for sale at this point, but I will keep my ear out for it.

CNC would be easy on a shaper, lead the way Brian, LOL

Did he happen to notice these things?

Only thing I can come up with is that are just pieces of packing for lifting, but I'm not sure I believe it.

Hah! At the rate I'm going with projects, I'll be pushing up daisies before I can even start learning about CNC. I've had a half finished knurler staring at me for 6 months! No, what it needs is someone already into CNC ... who has a shaper or two ....

That is one Big Mother of a Shaper. It would certainly be a Good Shaper having all the Bells and Whistles.
