Most if not all Bearing supply companys should be able to cater to your needs.
Try Google or the Yellow pages.

I'd at least get a price from Advance in Blacktown, one of the "well known" suppliers wanted to slug me somewhere in the region of 50 odd for spigot bearings the other week and I ended up paying around 20% of that.

Have you tried 'Small Parts and Bearings' on the web? Good range and quick delivery in my experience.

Just remember to ask for trade pricing - the mark up between trade and retail for bearings is something fierce.

(I have used small parts before and while the service and delivery is good, you do pay for it)

I've always found CBC (Consolidated Bearing Co) to be pretty good on getting in bearings and prices. They're Australia wide.
Defintely price around.

Hi Andre,
Are you working for someone in Sydney now? If do I would find out where they get stuff from and go there, introduce yourself and tell them you work for x and you just need some bearings for some of your own machines. I have gotten my feet in a few doors by doing this and have always been looked after by the supplier.
Btw it took nearly 3 weeks for me to get some steel pins (for putting plaques on machines) from small parts and bearings, the website said they had them in stock.1915 17"x50" LeBlond heavy duty Lathe, 24" Queen city shaper, 1970's G Vernier FV.3.TO Universal Mill, 1958 Blohm HFS 6 surface grinder, 1942 Rivett 715 Lathe, 14"x40" Antrac Lathe, Startrite H225 Bandsaw, 1949 Hercus Camelback Drill press, 1947 Holbrook C10 Lathe.

VXB Bearings Ball Bearings:Miniature bearingseramic Bearingsearing is not a bad place to go shopping for bearing either. I always look there first now to get an idea of price before I design something with a bearing these days.

I have used VCB in the past woth mixed results: some were fine, others remarkably less delightful than the SKF branded bearings that I bought in Hong Kong. eBay for sure would be my first stop for new old stock bearings in original wrapping (important). I have saved around 80% of new prices on bearings for my lathe for example...$200 instead of $1000 ain't chickenfeed. A least in our chook pen.

Hi Andre,
My limited experience with buying bearings tells me hat if one supplier is a lot cheaper than the rest then its usually because they are selling Chinese bearings and the others are selling Japanese/Taiwanese. Mind you, Chinese bearings are not necessarily bad, if just depends on what you use them for and what you are prepared to pay.
PS. I used to live in Newtown many moons ago, Probert street from memory. Awesome place to live!
Cheers,
Simon
