Worn three jaw chuck
I was doing some stuff on the dividing head the other day and discovered that one of the jaws has play in it such that while clamping with the full length of the jaw is fine, but when using the tip (say 20mm) there can be around 0.4mm eccentricity present.
Anyone got any ideas on a fix for a worn jaw?

You would need to grind the jaws.

Interesting. I've been searching PM about this as I have a temperamental 3 jaw as well. The consensus seems to be that a scroll bearing can be shimmed and jaw faces ground but if the slots are worn it's junk. Will be interested in the replies. Point four is a shedload.
