Simple fix for AL250 compound slide
The compound slide on the AL250 is attached using two 6mm T bolts and a couple of nuts, removing the 6mm hex nuts is fiddly as there isn't a lot of room for your fingers and of course being ham fisted I managed to strip them both. To solve the problem I made up two new T bolts (shafts now 7mm and the base 3mm thicker for a better fit), 2 elongated nuts with a knurled end and a thru hole, and two tools to tighten with. Removing the compound slide is quick and simple now: just spin the elongated nuts into place and tighten with the tool. You'll notice I've managed to bend one of the tools already, might have to increase the size of the thru holes and tool diameter, either that or remove 4 of my fingers.
