    Default Compound slide trouble..

G'day all, ive got myself a little problem and need a solution!

The underside of my compound slide (under compound slide to top face of cross slide) is rocking by .1 of a mm back and forth along the cross slide

Therefore when i take cuts the whole unit moves on me and interupts the cut.

I have cleaned it all and re-assembled it and fastened the circular slot nuts but i still have the same problem.

Is there a way to fix this? even if i have to remove the dovetail section and have it surface ground underneath.... Only problem is i have the cross slidelocation spigot in the way

    Please share your thoughts

    cheers Kon R

Is this the Keiyo Seiki lathe that you bought recently?
I think a picture or two to illustrate the problem might help. One thing - are your compound bolts clamping up tight? I ask because I had similar problem once where the bolts had been replaced but one was slightly too long and so while the nut was tight, the T bolt was not clamping properly.
