Some great pics there Mike, interesting to see the number of people employed there.
Obviously before the invention of OH&S, particularly in the foundry area

Thanks for posting that Mike. A reminder that I should visit Tony's site more frequently. They were tough in the good old days, shirtless in the foundry. Imagine the queue outside the first aid post.

Thanks Mike,
I looked at that when you got the hendey but it had been recently upgraded with some new pics.
I don't know how long the line would have been BT, common sense was a lot more common back then. These days I think it should be called uncommon sense!1915 17"x50" LeBlond heavy duty Lathe, 24" Queen city shaper, 1970's G Vernier FV.3.TO Universal Mill, 1958 Blohm HFS 6 surface grinder, 1942 Rivett 715 Lathe, 14"x40" Antrac Lathe, Startrite H225 Bandsaw, 1949 Hercus Camelback Drill press, 1947 Holbrook C10 Lathe.

That's great Mike atleast you know the spindle on your Hendy was hand machined by a real machinist.

It's good stuff. I wonder how many of those machines (used for production in the factory) were tweeked to be more accurate, or selected from the production batches because they were good ones?
