Default a complete set of eccentric tension, turning and milling

This piece of Swiss exquisiteness was on German Ebay being sold by a Dutch seller, Steamydad ( bizarre ). Steamy also trades under the name of Machinehandel A G Bos. He has all the wonderful photos of Schaublins, Weilers, Acieras etc. that I pinch and post from time to time.

This eccentric turning / milling attachment could have been yours for 3272.50 Euro. There were no bidders.

For this to work the chuck (or cutting tool if mill mounted) has to itself rotate on the rotating backing plate. Some neat internal gearing would be required.

The online translation leaves a bit to be desired

We offer a complete set of eccentric tension, turning and milling.
The manufacturer is not known to me but the quality is comparable with Schaublin and Fehlmann. See picture.
    The possibilities are very large.
    Manufactured in Switzerland.
    The basis for eccentric tension.
Adjustment in degrees and minutes. See picture.
    Sideways by 60 mm adjustable.
Through fair base is 200 mm.
The eccentric part is 130 mm.
It is a basic part of Schaublin Collets E 32 but also the food and the platen is to fit.
The set of collets is type E32 and from 4 to 20 per mm.
The height is 110 mm with collets.
Then it is possible to bake the 3 food
These three jaw chuck them outside and bake is 100 mm. The plate is spun on to screw up too. 150 mm.
Also, a connection part 40 is Sk.
I made some pictures and hope that someone knows and can give me more info.
Thank you in advance for their Muhe!
It's very rare to find such a set in this new state.
Look for the other parts of my Schaublin other offer.
Super quality in almost new condition!

Thats a nice looking bit of kit, even if i don't know what its for. The translation leads me to believe it could be used for machining or cooking! I guess it would be pretty rare, hence the $$, but still, thats bloody expensive!

An Identical one of these gizmos sold on German ebay back in December for €350.00
I actually had a bid on it for €100 but as I only liked the look of it and could only vaguely visualise what it could be used for I didn't bid too seriously as it was going to cost another €150 to ship it, perhaps I should have.
The one that sold was exactly the same as this one and even came with the instructions and calibration sheets.
    Cheers,
    Greg.

After thinking about it, I'm wondering whether that is a European version of what in the US is known as a Volstro head. With the NT40 taper it is not a lathe tool, despite what the vendor may think.
For those not familiar with Volstro heads, they attached to the vertical head of a machine with an R8 fitting and because they rotated around the spindle axis while allowing the cutter to be offset, allowed the milling of large radii (and other things). For example, you could cut out a kidney shape just by adjusting the head. Using a fixed spindle and a rotary table would take a number of set ups to do.

There were a couple of version but the capability that they provide has been superseded by CNC - but are still an interesting bit of kit. Even second hand in the US they will command $1000 to $1500 upwards for a good (complete) set. One day....
