Anyone used this Grinder?
Hello,
Has anyone used this grinder before? Its on Ebay, I'll need one for grinding HSS for my new shaper when I get it next week. Home use obviously.
WET AND DRY BENCH COMBINATION GRINDER 6" x 8" BRANDNEW and Item number: 350311161713.
I am thinking a 8" Abbott and Ashley will probably do the trick.
Thanks Ben.

used one ive got one. i didn't pay that much more like $35.
the grinding wheel was terrible. THE othere end is why i brought it and it showed a little promise
its in the back corner of the shed somewhere.
i couldn't recommend one. as for a 8" abbott and ashley i could thoroughly recommend.

Hi Ben,
I've have one of those, I use it for knife sharpening.
Cant say I've used it for HSS, but I'd think it was a little over the top and I'd guess it would be pretty slow. Unlike high carbon steel, you dont need to keep HSS cool while grinding. I just use a normal bench grinder, then use a diamond stone.
There is one for $69+ in melb BTW.
(as Aaron said the "normal" wheel isnt up to much)

Thanks,
I wasn't expecting much, but just wanted to make sure. I'll have to fork out for an Abbott & Ashley then.
Hey Stuart, which one is in Melb? On ebay?
Thanks Ben.
